Privacy Policy

ArchCrux collects very little personal information.

We may collect:

1. your email address when you subscribe to receive new essay notifications
2. basic technical information that is normally collected when a website is visited, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and request logs
3. basic analytics data about how the site is used

We use information to:

1. send new essay notifications if you subscribe
2. operate and maintain the website
3. understand basic site usage
4. detect errors, abuse, or security issues
5. respond if you contact us

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use subscriber emails for unrelated advertising.

If you subscribe, we store your email address so we can notify you when a new essay is published.

Subscriber emails and selected interests are stored in Resend Contacts as separate topic subscriptions. Public email signup remains gated. The cohort waitlist form only accepts a production request when its explicit feature gate and provider configuration are enabled; otherwise no request is collected.

Interests distinguish essays, Interview Arena updates and cohort updates. Cohort interest may also be marked individual or team. Submitting one interest does not add another. Existing global unsubscribe and provider suppression states are not reversed by the form.

Use the signed unsubscribe link in an email or contact us for help; knowing an email address does not grant access to preferences or reverse an opt-out.

You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email, if available, or by contacting:

If you unsubscribe, we may keep a limited record where needed to avoid sending you further emails.

ArchCrux uses trusted third party services to operate the site.

These currently include:

1. Vercel for hosting, deployment, and basic web analytics
2. Resend for email delivery and subscriber contact storage
3. Cloudflare for DNS, security, and email routing

These services may process information only as needed to provide their services. This can include email addresses, IP addresses, browser information, device information, request logs, and basic usage data.

ArchCrux does not sell subscriber emails or share them for unrelated advertising.

ArchCrux may use Vercel Web Analytics to understand basic site usage, such as page views, traffic sources, and general visitor activity.

Analytics are used to understand whether the site is useful and which pages are being read. They are not used to identify individual readers for advertising.

Public-site action measurements distinguish links to Interview Arena from visits to its editorial overview. If cohort capture is enabled, a waitlist acceptance measurement is produced only after the server verifies stored provider topic state. Events use a defined placement and public page or article identifier, not email addresses, form text, interview content or payment details.

Our analytics URL filter removes query strings and fragments and excludes unpublished or token-bearing utility routes. We do not add tracking parameters to internal links or to links to Interview Arena. Local test subscriptions are not sent to production analytics.

Interview Arena is a separate application at app.archcrux.com, currently in invitation-only private beta. Its sign-in and interview sessions run in that application. An Arena link click does not tell this website whether you signed in, practised or received a debrief there, and this website does not receive your interview answers or debriefs.

ArchCrux may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for the site to work.

If analytics or platform services use similar technologies, they are used for basic site operation, security, performance, or aggregate usage measurement.

Subscriber emails are kept until you unsubscribe, ask for deletion, or the information is no longer needed.

Technical logs and analytics data may be kept for a limited period by ArchCrux or its service providers for security, reliability, debugging, and usage measurement.

You can:

1. unsubscribe from essay notifications
2. ask whether we have your email address
3. ask us to delete your email address
4. contact us with privacy questions

ArchCrux can be accessed from different countries. The services used to operate ArchCrux may process information in countries other than your own.

By using the site or subscribing by email, you understand that your information may be processed by these service providers where they operate.

We use reasonable measures to protect the information handled through ArchCrux.

No website or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

ArchCrux is not intended for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to ArchCrux, contact [email protected] and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

This policy may be updated when ArchCrux changes or when the services used to operate it change.
